Types of Food-ଖାଦ୍ୟର ପ୍ରକାରଭେଦ :

ରାସାୟନିକ ଗଠନ, କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଓ ଶକ୍ତି ପ୍ରଦାନକାରୀ କ୍ଷମତା ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରି ଆମେ ଖାଉଥିବା ଖାଦ୍ୟକୁ ମୁଖ୍ୟତଃ 6 ପ୍ରକାରରେ ବିଭକ୍ତ କରାଯାଇଛି ।

1 ଶ୍ୱେତସାର (Carbohydrates) :

ଶର୍କରା (Sugars) ଏବଂ ମଣ୍ଡଦ (Starch) ଆମେ ଖାଉଥିବା ଖାଦ୍ୟର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଶ୍ୱେତସାର । ଆଳୁ, ଭାତ, ରୁଟିରେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ପରିମାଣରେ ମଣ୍ଡଦ ଥାଏ। ଚିନି, ଗୁଡ଼ ଆଦି ରେ ସୁ କ୍ରେଜ (Sucrose) ଓ ଫଳରସ, ପନିପରିବାରେ ଗୃକୋଜ (Glucose) ଜାତୀୟ ଶ୍ୱେତସାର ଅଧୁକ ପରି ମାଣରେ ଥାଏ ।

ଶ୍ୱେତସାରରୁ ଆମେ ସହଜରେ ଶକ୍ତି ଆହରଣ କରି ଥାଉ । ଗ୍ଲୁକୋଜ (C6H12O6) ରେ ରହିଛି କାର୍ବନ, ଉଦଜାନ ଏବଂ ଅମ୍ଳଜାନ । କୋଷୀୟ ଶ୍ୱସନ (Cellular respiration) ବେଳେ ଗ୍ଲୁକୋଜର ଜାରଣ ଫଳରେ ଅଙ୍ଗାରକାମ୍ଳ ଓ ଜଳ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହେବା ସହ ଶକ୍ତି ନିର୍ଗତ ହୋଇଥାଏ। ଏକ ଗ୍ରାମ୍ ଶ୍ୱେତସାରରୁ ପ୍ରାୟ 16 କିଲୋଜୁଲ୍ (KI) ଶକ୍ତି ନିର୍ଗତ ହୋଇଥାଏ ….
